Eagle Ridge Equestrian Center is offering summer vacation riding academy options to kids ages 5-6 for 1/2 day and an all-day program for kid’s ages 7-18 years. We have many great horses, ponies and a fabulous facility with friendly, knowledgeable and experienced instructors looking to have fun with the horses and kids this summer. Riding Academy space is limited so book your’s today!
A deposit of 50% must be made for each week you would like to reserve a spot. Please call 425-518-1588 to reserve your riding academy dates. The balance due on attendees must be paid 2 weeks prior to start date.
Level 1 Horsemanship Workshop
For our riders who have had past basic riding experience but may feel rusty, nervous, or have taken a long break from consistent lessons. This workshop focuses on rebuilding confidence, reviewing basic riding position, control, steering, balance, safety, grooming, tacking, and overall horse handling skills. Riders will work on becoming more comfortable and independent around horses again. Ages 5+
Dates: July 13–17, 2026 and July 27–31, 2026
Level 2 Horsemanship Workshop
For riders who are ready to build stronger daily riding habits and improve their overall performance skills. This workshop includes more consistent riding, better control at different gaits, pattern work, transitions, groundwork, horsemanship, and learning how to ride with more purpose and confidence. Riders will focus on becoming stronger, more balanced, and more effective in the saddle.
Dates: July 20–24, 2026 and August 3–7, 2026 ages 7+
Level 3 Horsemanship Workshop
For advanced riders who want to build higher-level horsemanship skills for competition, performance, or personal skill development. This workshop focuses on more advanced riding techniques, precision, patterns, control, show preparation, problem-solving, and improving communication between horse and rider. Riders should be comfortable riding independently and ready for a more intensive skill-building week. Great preparation for Shows and the state fair!
Dates: August 10–14, 2026 open to all ages of riders 7 yrs +- including adults.
Participants will need to bring the following:
- a lunch for both groups and a snack for all day kids
- bottled water
- wear or bring sunblock
- Wear long pants and boots but bring a change of clothes for when they are off the horse and may need weather related clothing i.e hot and sunny- shorts, rainy- rain gear.
- A riding helmet (or borrow one of ours).
- gloves (Optional)
We will have tons of fun and each child will have plenty of horse time and fun for the week. We will teach safety, grooming, catching, and leading, tacking, general horse care, AND choice of English and Western riding techniques. We also cover nutrition, stable management and equipment care. We have lots of great games and craft activities planned too. Our camps will keep your horse lover busy and better yet teach them how to be responsible and respectful towards their new horse buddy while creating a rewarding relationship with the horse and their new friends!
